Description

From the Envelope Back
For more than a century, the rich textures of Victorian furnishing have charmed men and women alike. Folkwear presents a sampling of varied designs and techniques which can be used interchangeably on the items given for an authentic Victorian bedroom. The Quilt Cover and matching Pillow Shams are sized to fit modern quilts and pillows and feature gathered insets of contrasting fabric. Ruffled edging enhances the Pillow Shams. A diagram for making a Dust Ruffle is also included. Two authentic cutwork designs are given for embellishment of purchased sheets and pillow cases and two doily shapes which can be enlarged into Dresser Scarves. Simple purchased lace edging can also be used. Three Throw Pillows — round, square, and heart-shaped — echo the Quilt Cover with insets and lace. Three embroidery designs are given for the Pillow shapes and are scaled down for use on three identical Sachet shapes as well. For the Victorian lady in her boudoir a nightcap was de rigeur — and we’ve included a self-ruffled, circular mob cap. As the finishing touch, a recipe for Potpourri is included to lend the perfect Victorian fragrance of bygone flowers.

Shipping
Generally sent the same day you pay. Unless you request otherwise, I will back this with one piece of box cardboard (to help prevent the Post Office from bending it), wrap it in plastic wrap (to help protect the item from moisture or torn packaging), then send inside a manila envelope when sent via First Class Mail with Delivery Confirmation. This is the cheapest postage option that includes both item protection and tracking. See the shipping page to give you an estimate on the cost of a First Class 4 package. I am delighted to combine postage and insurance costs if you purchase more than one item. The second item may travel for free or just a few cents more — so it’s worth taking a look at my other items before you complete your order.
