Description

From the Preface
The life of the author of Kidnapped, Treasure Island, A Child’s Garden of Verses and other stories was as romantic and full of adventure as his books. Born in the city of Edinburgh, the son of a lighthouse builder, Stevenson grew to know every nook and cranny of the wild, rocky coast of Scotland. Wherever he went he made friends quickly with unusual people—sailors, shepherds, innkeepers and vagabonds. All of his life he traveled the world over in search of health and adventure: France, England, Italy, California. the South Seas. His observations during these thrilling voyages all found their way into his books which are loved by readers of every age.

The pages are in very good condition. It really feels like it wasn’t read. Worst damage done by library when they tore out the card pocket from the back free endpaper.
