About the Story
Art Clay, from a small Minnesota college, is signed with the Chicago Bears. An escape clause in his contract permits him to leave if he decides pro ball is interfering with his law studies at Northwestern, but, during his training and playing as an end, his good nature is given some tough lessons in the gridiron art of getting mad and fighting back. By the end of the book and after glory-making games, Art has decided to forego law school and be a full time pro.
