Der Rosenkavalier – an opera in three acts by Richard Strauss with text by Hugo von Hofmannsthal. The London Philharmonia Orchestra and Chorus is under the direction of Herbert Von Karajan. The chorus of children are from Loughton High School for girls and Bancroft’s School. The opera is sung in German. The recording was made in Europe, the records were made in the US. Included is a book with 1957 copyright which includes the story of the opera, and an English translation of the libretto by Walter Legge. This 36-page book includes b/w photos. There is also a 4-page leaflet about the recording and playback of Angel stereo records. Album S 3563 D/L from Angel Records. Let me know if there is anything else you want to know/see.
Condition
See photos above. The cardboard box shows expected storage. The book and other papers inside are in very nice condition. I note that the plastic-lined sleeves don’t match. The one at bottom right is a bit different. I’ll see if I can find four that match, then change the photo. The records are in very good to excellent to near mint condition. These play with great sound and some needle noise but no skips or repeats. No names or other markings. From clean, smoke-free home.

Unless you request otherwise, I will wrap the LP box in plastic wrap to help protect it from the elements, create a custom-made cardboard box to ship it in, and send via Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation tracking.
