Each letter of the alphabet, copied from old hand-cut wooden type forms, introduces a jaunty verse, and each letter also becomes a part of the picture itself. As an example, in the illustration for the rhyme,
B is a Bridge covered with moss.
B is a Brook to go bounding across,”
the capital B, turned sidewise, makes a firm and attractive bridge on which boy and dog bound gaily over the brook.

Condition
See photos above. Former school library book in good condition for age and public use. The dust jacket was cut apart and the fly leaves pasted inside the front cover. The boards were covered in clear “Contact” paper which sealed two of the three stickers. The pages are in good condition. I show above the only one with a crease. No personal names or markings, just those made by the librarians. Stored in and shipped from clean, smoke-free home.

Unless you request otherwise, I will wrap the book in plastic wrap to help protect it from the elements, create a custom-made cardboard box to ship it in, and send via Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation tracking.
