Description

From the Dust Jacket
The phone call came on a snowy December day — Joe had been in an accident. Kate felt a wave of terror wash over her and tried to be strong. As she waited for further news, her mind drifted back to the moment she first met the dazzling young pilot… It’s Christmas 1940 and war is engulfing Europe. Kate Jamison’s heart is instantly captured by Joe Allbright, the tall, handsome and courageous protege of Charles Lindbergh. To Joe, planes are his life, his passion…yet he is irresistibly drawn to the beautiful Kate. But even love isn’t enough to keep him from his duty to his country. Kate is sure she is going to lose him, but with each dangerous mission Joe always returns. After the long dark years of World War II are behind them, Kate wants more from her soul mate—marriage, a family. But Joe wants the world and the adventure of building his unique aviation empire. Soon Kate and Joe will have to make a choice… one that will profoundly effect the rest of their lives forever.
