Description

From the Book Back
To residents of Manhattan, it was just another blistering hot day in August. No one knew that on that day death, in the form of a ghostly exodus of flea-bitten rats from a tramp steamer in from the Cameroons, had moved silently into the streets of New York. But more than a repetition of the ghastly plague, the Black Death, which struck the world in the Middle Ages, who loose on Manhattan. For behind it was the enemy that had unleashed it and a willing underworld that had joined forces with them in an attempt to wipe out the whole of the biggest city on earth!
