From the Back Cover
Southern charm and hospitality extend far beyond living friends and family in the South. Both legend and tragic drama have made the spiritual atmosphere ripe for tales of ghosts, poltergeists, and bizarre hauntings. One such poltergeist crossed over and made the acquaintance of a Savannah, Georgia, family through the purchase of a small, “haunted” antique oak bed. “Danny” made himself right at home with the Cobb’s, Albert, Lila, Jennifer, Jason, and Lee Cobb. Never before had the Cobb family witnessed anything from the supernatural till they purchased the antique oak bed that “Danny” had died in in 1899. “Danny” soon made his presence known to fourteen-year-old Jason Cobb by pulling toys out of the closet and shelves and playing with them on the bed. Not unlike any other seven-year-old, “Danny” loved toys. Unfortunately, “Danny” did not wish to share his bed with Jason. The contest began in earnest not only for the bed but Jason’s entire bedroom! All stories herein are documented, local case histories of ordinary Savannah, Georgia, citizens and the extraordinary supernatural experiences they have had. Many prominent Savannahians came forward to tell their past or present paranormal stories. I have used the names of those who wished to be known and changed the names of those who did not.
